The Story of a Radio Rangler by Stan Husted

May I tell you about The Cowboy Up PodCast?

White Stallion Ranch led by Russell True and What it Takes Radio led by Stan Hustad have for the past 5 months been doing something after talking about it for five years. So here is my story.

I have close to five decades of experience working in international radio all around the world. When I saw that podcasting was a major source not only of marketing ability but of profitability, I got serious and so did Russell.

We asked Alan Day (brother of Sandra Day O’Connor) who has been forever a cowboy and a rancher and is now a writer to join us. We’ve had the fun and the privilege of producing a weekly podcast that is now going and growing, and has already received national recognition and rewards. And not only is it entertaining and educating it has become a very important part of the promotion and marketing strategy for the dude ranching in Arizona and throughout the West.

So we are going to encourage you to become a listener, and perhaps you can have a part in the program as you share some special wisdom, insight, and truth, along with something that makes us smile, to the program. Let us know.

Also this is an opportunity for ranches and the businesses that support dude ranching. We are more than willing to help you find a way to begin to do some podcasting to promote your message, your mission, tell your story, and reach out to your guests and a new “Hope-will-be Guests.”

Just as you once were reluctant t get a cell phone and perhaps then have a website; now you realize you must have those things …And I can tell you that in the next few years everybody will have to have a broadcast system of some kind in their business organization where they can immediately and almost spontaneously do a powerful marketing and storytelling program.

So why don’t we do it now and you can be one of the first to enjoy the profitability, the increased reach, rates and revenue that will come to those who are involved in doing podcasting.

Right now the current marketing message is, if you don’t Cast you will be last.

More about Cowboy Up … Dude rancher Russell True and cowboy H. Alan Day team up in Tucson, Arizona to talk all things Western. They’ll share adventures from the range, from the seat of a plane’s cockpit, from the back of a horse. (You may wonder how they lived to tell their tales!) And they’ll have a roundup of guests, Western writers, horse lovers, chuckwagon chefs, ranchers, nature lovers. It’s the
West now and then.
