What is the Arizona Dude Ranch Association?
The Arizona Dude Ranch Association (AzDRA) introduces potential guests to quality Arizona dude ranches that meet our high standards. All of our members are committed to preserving the tradition of Western hospitality and dude ranch industry in the State of Arizona. Arizona dude ranches are as diverse as our state, ranging from the more traditional smaller, remote ranches, where horseback riding and ranching are the primary focus, to larger resort-style guest ranches, with all the amenities that you expect at a full-service resort.
Why Become a Member?
Arizona dude ranchers recognize we can do more together than we can individually! We work together on marketing projects to promote Arizona’s distinctive year-round dude ranch industry and direct people to the association website azdra.com. We work together to solve problems. For example, in 2021 state legislation was passed to create a more favorable property tax environment for dude ranches ~ a huge source of cost savings for many ranches. As an industry, we recognize that there are businesses we all depend on; so we have created an affiliate membership program. Perhaps most importantly, we provide a collegial atmosphere to exchange ideas and keep abreast of issues and opportunities.
What’s the difference between a ranch member and an affiliate member?
Arizona Dude Ranch Association’s traditional ranch members meet standards set by the association (see pdf for standards) and are inspected to assure that they meet the standards. An affiliate member has a legitimate tie to the dude ranch industry and is approved by the voting membership of the association.
Membership application and onboarding

Submit application and non-refundable $75 application fee to AzDRA.

AzDRA reviews your application and conducts a visit to your ranch at an agreed upon time.

AzDRA discusses application at the next monthly AzDRA meeting.

You will be notified of your membership status within 60 days and invoiced accordingly.

Upon receipt of dues payment, you will be invited to meetings and will be invited to send materials to add your ranch to the AzDRA website.

Your logo and ranch information will be added to the AzDRA website within one month.*
*Note that your one-time application fee pays for the website revisions necessary to place you on the website, and this fee will be deducted from your first membership payment.
