Tanque Verde Guest Ranch

Memorable Vacations for Over 150 Years

Lodging

One of the most distinctive resorts in Tucson, we offer lodging options that provide guests with spectacular scenic views of the desert and mountains. Kick back and relax in the luxury of your room, tastefully decorated in rich southwestern style.

Traditional adobe walls and Santa Fe-style architecture perfectly complement the beauty of the natural surroundings. Tanque Verde lodging is comfortable and inviting, combining the spirit of the Old West with today’s modern amenities.

Dining

Start your day with a hearty southwestern breakfast. Lunch always brings a delightful taste to the table to keep you energized for the rest of the day. By the end of the day, you’ll be anxiously awaiting the dinner cuisine. Besides the three gourmet meals served each day in the dining room, several indoor and outdoor specialty dining events are held each week, such as our Breakfast Ride and Cowboy Cookout.

History

Tanque Verde Ranch holds a rich history, established in 1868 by Don Emilio Carrillo. Jim Converse later purchased the ranch in 1928. It was acquired by Brownie Cote in 1957, pursuing additional business opportunities. The present-day ranch has 640 acres and also leases from the U.S. Forest Service approximately 60,000 acres for its cattle operation. Guests today can explore horse trails, tennis courts, pools, and more connecting with the ranch’s storied past.
