The Miller Family invites you to vacation at their home, Elkhorn Ranch, 50 miles southwest of Tucson, Arizona. Elkhorn is a traditional dude ranch with 20 guest cabins. We welcome solo travelers, families and multi-generational groups for one week (or longer) all inclusive stays featuring guided horseback rides and hikes. Elkhorn is a conservation minded working ranch that raises horses, alongside neighboring cattle ranches, Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge and Baboquivari Peak Wilderness. Sonoran desert flora and fauna, wide open country, Arizona’s famous sunshine and blue skies, and personalized hospitality provide an ideal setting for outdoor adventure, rejuvenation and camaraderie.
Activities
Horseback riding with ranch guides, tailored to your interests and abilities. Hike on your own or with the ranch guide. Birding on the trail and around your cabin. Heated 50’ swimming pool, tennis, pickleball, and more. Reading, table games and puzzles; browse the ranch library. Be creative ~ sketch, take pictures, make music. Try a workshop week!

Amenities
Ranch lifestyle evolves around rest and relaxation at your own private cabin, ranch activities and meals. Twenty unique cabins provide comfortable living space for 32 guests (on average). Meals are served at the Long House dining and sitting room and outdoor patio or on the trail during all-day horseback rides. All buildings are within a few minutes walk of one another, yet the Sonoran desert landscape provides a feeling of privacy and seclusion.

Lodging
Each cabin is unique and matched to your cabins needs. The boundaries between the ranch buildings and the open country around them is blurred thanks to landscaping with native vegetation. Birds, cottontail rabbits and occasionally other wildlife live amidst the ranch buildings. Enjoy good reading lights, electric blankets, and outdoor seating complete with your own bird feeder.
Dining
Guests gather at the Long House for casual and conversational meals. Indoor tables and outdoor picnic tables seat 8 – 10 people per table, plus patio seating with heaters provides space to spread out. All meals served buffet style, plus enjoy breakfast to order. Dietary restrictions are accommodated with advance notice.
History
Since 1945, the Miller family has welcomed guests to their home at Elkhorn Ranch. The Millers are proud to have their fourth generation involved in the ranch operation. The Millers and neighboring ranches share a commitment to conservation that provides a unique landscape and opportunity for outdoor adventure and relaxation.
