High on a mesa of 2400' in the beautiful Hassayampa Valley one discovers the desert hills, with 20,000 acres of scenic beauty looking south to the famed Vulture Peak, renowned for the discovery of gold by Henry Wickenburg in 1863. Small guestwise, the ranch offers a personal approach to the guest (dude) ranch luxury resort concept with a strong family feeling between guests and staff. Flying F has been the home of its owner, Vi Wellik, since 1960.

Capacity is 34 plus guests, who may enjoy privacy (dining room limited to guests only) and revel in the home-like atmosphere of ranch living at its best. We cater to singles, couples and families. The food is exceptional home-style cooking, with a gourmet touch. Accommodations are western in decor, rooms and suites, all with private baths, wet bars, air-conditioned and electrically heated, immaculately clean. No bar, a B.Y.O.L. social hour, ice and mixes furnished, and always tasty appetizers. Our facilities also include a heated pool, hot spa, exercise room, sauna, garden chess, lighted tennis court and shuffleboard. Lazy is an activity too!

Our photo is a "buzzards eye" view of the ranch. Riding is our thing, with wranglers who enjoy horses and people! Activities include breakfast and lunch rides, chuck wagon feeds, hay wagon trips and games on horseback (DUDEOS) in competition with other ranches, all FUN.
